BTR chose Durkduct elastomeric pre-insulated air duct system to provide a comprehensive air system solution in BTR No.1 new plant in Jintan District, Jiangsu Province. The plant is a new energy cathode material production plant with a building height of 23m and a total area about 46,000m2. Aiming at fulfilling production process requirements, a full set of positive pressure fresh air system is arranged in the production area.

    

1.Design Proposal
Considering the relatively high height of the main building and in order to mitigate energy loss in high space, the transmission duct adopts Durkduct air duct system with extremely low air leakage. The total area of durkduct is about 10000m2. The special design of the ellipse shape main duct and round shape branch duct can cut material consumption by 15% compared with the traditional rectangular duct. The largest size of ellipse duct is 4978mm * 1524mm (The largest ellipse air duct so far that Durkee has made) and the largest diameter of round duct is 2540mm with aesthetic and simple design. 

2.Load-bearing capacity
This No. 1 new plant is a steel structure building with large space. Considering factors of load-bearing capacity and cost-saving , the Owner chose Durkduct system to replace the traditional metal duct.

3.Accurate air supply 
In order to ensure the long-distance air supply effect from the height of 21m and 8m, Durkee’s proprietary 10-inch fabric nozzle was adopted for long-distance air supply.

4.Quick and Easy Installation
All durkduct system segments and components are designed, produced and installed in modularized and standardized way. It is not necessary to process on site, all segments and components are connected by zippers and installed by metal rod suspension system. The quick and easy installation mode can shorten the construction period and improve the quality of the project significantly.
